Prof. C. L. Philip Chen
South China University of Technology

C. L. Philip Chen (Fellow, IEEE) graduated from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI, USA, in 1985. He is currently a Chair Professor and the Dean of the College of Computer Science and Engineering, South China University of Technology. Being a Program Evaluator of the Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology Education (ABET) in USA, for computer engineering, electrical engineering, and software engineering programs, he successfully architects the University of Macau’s Engineering and Computer Science programs receiving accreditations from Washington/Seoul Accord through The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE), of which is considered as his utmost contribution in engineering/computer science education for Macau as the former Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology. His current research interests include cybernetics, systems, and computational intelligence. He is a Fellow of IEEE, AAAS, IAPR, CAA, and HKIE; a member of Academia Europaea (AE), European Academy of Sciences and Arts (EASA), and International Academy of Systems and Cybernetics Science (IASCYS). He received the IEEE Norbert Wiener Award, in 2018, for his contribution in systems and cybernetics and machine learning. He is also a highly cited researcher by Clarivate Analytics, in 2018 and 2019. He was a recipient of the 2016 Outstanding Electrical and Computer Engineers Award from his alma mater, Purdue University, in 1988. He was the Chair of TC 9.1 Economic and Business Systems of International Federation of Automatic Control, from 2015 to 2017, and is currently the Vice President of Chinese Association of Automation (CAA). He was the President of IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society, from 2012 to 2013, the Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics: Systems, from 2014 to 2019, and he is currently the Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, and an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Artificial Intelligence, and IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems.

Prof. Xin Xu
National Defense University of Science and Technology

Xin Xu serves as a Ph.D. Supervisor at National Defense University of Science and Technology. He is the winner of Excellent Young Scientists Fund of National Natural Science Foundation of China, a Director of Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence selected by Program for New Century Excellent Talents. Moreover, he is a member of the editorial board of the integration of information technology and industrialization in Chinese Association of Automation(CAA), a member of the IEEE Robot Learning Committee, deputy director of Young Crew Management Board of Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence, a member of the Intelligent Robot Professional Committee of China Artificial Intelligence Society, a member of the editorial board of four internationaljournalsindexed by SCI such as Information Sciences, and the member of the editorial board of Acta Automatica Sinica. His Lab focuses on learning control, intelligent robots, unmanned vehicles, etc. The lab is working on solving the cutting-edge theoretical and technical problems related to intelligent robots and unmanned vehicles and pays attention to the combination of theoretical research and engineering practice to promote the rapid practical application of artificial intelligence theories and technologies in intelligent robots and unmanned vehicles.

Prof. Fuchun Sun
Tsinghua University

Prof. Fuchun Sun received the Ph.D. degree in computer science and technology from Tsinghua University, Beijing, in 1997. He is currently a Full Professor with the Department of Computer Science and Technology, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. He is the Executive Deputy Director of the State Key Laboratory of Intelligent Technologies and Systems, a member of the overall expert group on robotics of the National Key Research and Development Program, and a member of the Steering Expert Group of the Major Research Program "Cognitive Computing of Audiovisual Information" of the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
His current research interests include intelligent control and robotics. Prof. Sun was the recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. As a subject leader, he has presided over five national projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation of Major Instrument, Major International Cooperation, and the National 863 Program Key Project. He has translated one book and three monographs, published more than 200 academic papers in important journals at home and abroad, and authorized more than 10 national invention patents. He received the first prize of Innovation Award and Progress Award of Wu Wenjun Science and Technology Award of Chinese Society of Artificial Intelligence, the second prize of Natural Science Award of Ministry of Education and Beijing Municipality, and the first prize of 18th Choon-Gang International Academic Award of Korea. He led the team to win the second place and the first place in the international deep learning and robot dexterity operation competitions.
He is the Editor-in-Chief for Cognitive Computation and Systems and an Associate Editor for a series of international journals, including the IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics: Systems, IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems, Mechatronics, and Robotics and Autonomous Systems. He is an Editorial board member of the national journals "Chinese Science: Series F" and "Journal of Automation". He is the director of the Cognitive Systems and Information Processing Committee of the Chinese Society of Artificial Intelligence and the director of the Cognitive Computing and Systems Committee of the Chinese Society of Automation.
Prof. Hesheng Wang
Shanghai Jiao Tong University


Hesheng Wang is a Professor of Department of Automation, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. His research interests include visual servoing, service robot, robot control and computer vision. Dr. Wang is an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Automation Science and Engineering, IEEE Robotics and Automation Letters, Assembly Automation, IET Cyber-systems and Robotics, the International Journal of Humanoid Robotics, a Technical Editor of the IEEE/ASME Transactionson Mechatronics, an Editorial Advisory Board in Advanced Intelligent Systems. He served as an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactionson Robotics from 2015 to 2019. He served an editor in Conference Editorial Board of IEEE Robotics and Automation Society since 2021. Prof. Wang is actively involving in organization of international conferences. He served as organizing committee member for many international conferences such as ICRA and IROS. He was the program chair of the 2014 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Biomimetics, the program chair of the 2019 IEEE/ASME International Conference on Advanced Intelligent Mechatronics, and the general chair of the 2016 IEEE International Conference on Real-time Computing and Robotics. He is the general chair of the 2022I EEE International Conference on Robotics and Biomimetics. He was a recipient of Shanghai Rising Star Award in 2014, The National Science Fund for Outstanding Young Scholars in 2017 and Shanghai Shuguang Scholar in 2019. He is a Senior Member of IEEE.
Prof. Mustafa Mısır
Duke Kunshan University

Mustafa Mısır is an associate professor of Data and Computational Science at Duke Kunshan University in China. He completed his Ph.D. in Computer Science at KU Leuven (Belgium) in 2012. After graduation, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at INRIA Saclay - Universite Paris Sud XI (France), Singapore Management University (SMU) and University of Freiburg (Germany) respectively. He was also a visiting researcher at University of Zurich (Switzerland) and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) / BarcelonaTech (Spain). Afterwards, he moved to Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (China) as a faculty member at the College of Computer Science and Technology. Prior to joining Duke Kunshan University, he was a faculty member in Computer Engineering at Istinye University (Turkey). His main research interests include automated algorithm design (machine learning + algorithm design), data science and operations research. He is the recipient of several prestigious academic awards and published over 40 papers in various international conferences/journals.

Prof. Xiuxian Li
Tongji University

Xiuxian Li is a research professor of College of Electronic and Information Engineering, and Shanghai Research Institute for Intelligent Autonomous Systems, Tongji University, Shanghai, China. He received the B.S. degree in mathematics and applied mathematics and the M.S. degree in pure mathematics in Shandong University, Jinan, China, in 2009 and 2012 respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Hong Kong in 2016. From 2016 to 2020, he has been a research fellow in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and he has also been a senior research associate in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Hong Kong in 2018. He held a visiting position at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, Saudi Arabia, in September 2019. He is in the finalist of IEEE RCAR 2018, invited as a keynote speaker in the international conference BDIDM 2021, invited as guest editor of Control Theory and Applications, members of CAA-YAC, CAA, CAAI, and senior members of IEEE, CICC. He is the principal of one funding from National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has published near 30 SCI papers in recent five years, including four full papers in IEEE TAC and Automatica. His research interests include distributed control and (online) optimization, algorithms, operator theory, game theory, and machine learning, as well as applications to UAVs and autonomous driving, etc.
